After several tries with other drivers this one worked on a Compaq Presario. It is from 3Com website it is their model 3CP5699a. The 0766 is an OEM versiion of that driver. Just double click on the file and it creates a USR folder, go to Control Panel remove any modem drivers, hit Refresh, when the system asks for a driver point it to the USR folder and follow the prompts.
