This is a BIOS upgrade for those with an Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG with a BIOS ID String of: 07/23/97-VT82C580VP-2A5LA008C-00 Version 6.18H90J. This BIOS upgrade will update your Award 4.51PG BIOS to: 01/26/1999-VT82C580VP-2A5LA008C-00 Version 1.13AJ139.

I was working on an old 233AMD Everex Machine with a VA-502 mobo with the 07/23/97 BIOS string and went looking for updates. The information on the old BIOS is:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip the files and copy to a floppy disk. Put the disk in the drive and turn your computer on. At the DOS prompt, type "af831.exe" (no quotes) and hit enter. When it asks u the name of the file to program, type "ajw1393dc4.awd" (again, no quotes). It will then ask u if u want to save your old bios and then it will program the chip with this updated BIOS.
