don't run the setup,
install the network driver from start - settings - control panel - system - etc then browse to the extracted files and use the inf files in the folder named "Disk1" after installing, "Everest" says it is the 3Com EtherLink PCI after installing, Windows says it is: 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller (3C905C-TX Compatible)
