Any one looking to make their UMAX scanner work on WindowsXP, better try this one. UMAX has posted this on their website as a purchase only option for v3.55. This is a two stage update, the XP patch is free from UMAX. I found this driver from a European source, which apparently was from UMAX's European site (apparently it was free in Europe for a while, and now they are charging for it). This is a 2 stage install, first run 3.55, then apply the patch. A reboot may be required. XP will install and recognize the scanner, however only the WIA software it loads will give you minor control over its features. This version will apply the correct TWAIN drivers and give you full functionality. It should work with other models of the same production type, so give it a shot! IT WORKS PERFECT
