Windows (95,98,2000) have problems with AMD K6-2 processors over 350 mhz. This is documented by Microsoft Query number Q192841. The errors are "Windows protection error. Unable to initialize ios.sys. windows will restart" Windows will not run. This file must be executed in Windows 95 but will fix the processor so you can then run Win 95, Win98 or 2000. You will have to load win95, execute, then format your disk and reinstall 98 or 2000 if you do not want Win 95. This was a life saver for me!
