I had a usb hard drive but I lost the drivers. In Win 2k and Win XP, it had appeared as "USB to IDE Adapter". There is no brand on the box and nothing in it.

I downlaoded Driver Wizard (drivermagic.co.nz) which determined it was Archos hardware.

I'm not sure it is. You can try to use it for all unknown USB Adapters.

Once installed, Windows recognized the hard drive (a Samsung SV3064D)without any problem.
