Avaya Wireless Outdoor Router Manager Software Utility File.

This software package contains the Spring 2002 release of Avaya Wireless Outdoor Router Management Software. This release represents a major update to the functionality of the Avaya Wireless Outdoor Router equipment. Included in this release is the version 3.88.0 OR Manger program and version 4.15 firmware with embedded version 8.10 PC Card firmware for the COR-2, ROR-2, OR-1 and AWL-1 base stations.

Enhancements in this release include:

A new license key mechanism.

Tertiary Firmware for PC Cards embedded in OR firmware.

Spanning Tree Protocol.

Firmware file compression to prevent junk data write-backs during firmware upload.

Increased number of supported ROR wireless connections (COR only).

Increased number of supported Outdoor Router Client (ORC) wireless connections (per card in OR unit).

Improved MAC address authentication against a RADIUS server.

Improved MAC address Access Control List (ACL).

ORC bandwidth throttling via ACL.

Point-to-point link bandwidth throttling.

Ability to fully control and configure AP-1 and AP-2 units.

Improved performance

New naming convention for firmware files to help eliminate confusion.

This software is compatible with both Avaya and ORiNOCO labeled units and supports both Avaya and ORiNOCO wireless cards in the base stations. Please be sure to uninstall any previous version of Avaya or ORiNOCO OR Manager prior to installing this new version of the Avaya Wireless OR Manager. The download file size is 4.1 megabytes.
