This is the final Defs.ref file for Adaware SE personal 1.05 and 1.06 (both use the same file). You'll need to manually copy it to the correct folder. By default that will be C:\PROGRAM FILES\LAVASOFT\AD-AWARE SE PERSONAL or in 8.3 format, C:\PROGRA~1\LAVASOFT\AD-AWA~1. You may want to rename you existing defs.ref file to something like defs.old so it won't be overwritten.

The defs.ref files for newer adaware versions aren't compatible with SE personal 1.05 and 1.06 EVEN THOUGH THEIR LIVE UPDATE PROCESS MAY TELL YOU ONE IS AVAILABLE.

I believe the newer 'free' versions are just trial versions anyway so if you have 1.05 or 1.06 (or are going to install it) you won't have the hassle of it expiring.
