Additional Notes

These are the old ArtX integrated mboard video drivers. ArtX was bought by ATI in 2000, but these are not on the ATI site. Supports NT4.0 Win2000 and Win98 (which might work on WinME as well). These could not be found on an English site - finally found them on a Chinese site. Unzip and go to folder that matches your OS. Follow instructions.

"i used xp sp2. the problem is the following: xp boots in a 640x480 4bit mode after installing it on a hard drive. trying to install the right driver, it refuses the 98se and nt drivers. only win2000 drivers are accepted, it dedicates two (!) devices (artx device and artx display device) without problems.

after restarting nothing changes - its still in the 4bit mode. bu

How to Update ArtX, Inc. ArtX1 Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

Step 1 - Download Your Driver

  • In Windows 7, click Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager

  • In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
