When the icon for new hardware comes up in the tray, open the properties for the cdr deveice, and click "update driver", and choose the *.inf file that is in the archive. This should be named Sony USB mass storage system file or something like that. Sony is importen here, there is other USB mass .... that win2000 would install insteed if it gets the change ) After this the burner should work. ~Cral
