After finding the new "toolbox" drivers now available for download from Canon to be inferior(IMO) OR do not install correctly at all, I thought I might not be alone in having this problem so here are the original scancraft drivers that came with the scanner which are not available for download anymore. This will solve your problem if you are having the same trouble.
