You can download the driver for Primax Colorado USB 19200 from www.primax.nl/sup_col_usb19200.htm#Drivers. There are several files in several language.

I have installed this driver in Windows XP Professional and Home and it works perfectly.

You must decompress the filein your hard disk and install the driver by hand with Control Panel --> System --> Select Unknown Device from the tree --> select Update Driver --> and select find driver from a list and I have a disk. You must select the directory C \OT1Drivers\OS and after the file Scan_ENG.inf or Scan_ESP, etc depende on the language of file you downloaded.

"Thanks a million! This driver really works. After several trials, I finally successfully installed the software of IBM scanner on my PC and it could work as before. Actually, as someone mentioned on the web site, after installing the driver downloaded from the web site, I reinstalled the original IBM software in the CD-rom for the scanner. Just ignore questions raised by the computer about uncertainty. Well, I think IBM flatbed scan 2000 is no different from IBM IDEA SCAN 2000. If you are 'rejected' for choosing the former, choose the latter. Not long after I double-clicked the 'set up' of the original IBM software in the CD-rom, 'Arcsoft' (I cannot remember the name clearly) was installed and the quick buttons for it appeared. Then, as you know, by the use of Arcsoft, you can acquire images via the scanner. However, the name shown for the hardware is IBM flatbed scan 2000. Anyhow, as long as it works, who cares the name of it! Hope it helps."

"What A lifesaver! This worked perfectly, even though I just let it continue when it said something about compatibility. For those who needs to know how I've done it exactly, I just went to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. For there, look for the yellow exclaimation sign next to the name "IBM IdeaScan 2000..." (I can't rememer the rest of the name) Then you find wherever you extracted the driver (The self extract program will extract it into a folder called Primax. If you extracted it to C \, look for C \Primax) and find the folder called OT1Drivers, then find OS. So if you extracted to C \, you should find C \Primax\OT1Drivers\OS\ Then you click OK. Then you select the Scan_ENG.inf or Scan_ESP.inf, depending on your language (Just like how Juan Montero had said in the description). I hope the clarifies any problems people have with finding/installing the driver. I'm so glad it did work though =D"

"Driver works well on WinXP SP2. *NOTE: I decompressed [primax.zip] to [C:\OT1Drivers\OS]. Next I connected the scanner, Windows will recognize device by name [Colorado 19200], select cancel when new hardware wizard launches. Then go to Device Mgr and select the Colorado 19200 and update the driver and point to X:\OT1Drivers\OS and select [SCAN_ENG.INF]. Then you will be prompted to reboot. Device should work. *SPECIAL NOTE: THE DEVICE WILL HAVE AN EXCLAIMATION IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER SCANNER CONNECTED. I DID NOT have to uninstall my other scanners. I simply disconnected them while using the Primax. The other scanners are a [UMAX Astra 2200] and [ACER AcerScan 320U Prisa]."

"I tried this driver but it didn't work for me. However, I found something that does work. So here is the driver for an IBM ideascan (non-usb) scanner driver. It was meant for win2000 but works on xp too!! Scanner was made for IBM by compeye and the relevant model number is #9636p. Go to www.compeye.com/tec.htm and download and install the 4 files. Instructions are provided at the site. Then open any image prog. (adobe photoshop)and acqu9ire/import from Scanner 600."
