This fixed a problem with a friend's DVD Writer being unable to burn DVDs at 4X on an LG GSA-4040B running off Win XP Pro. Please read the enclosed note and follow instructions to the letter as upgrading firmware on ANY device may result in damaging your hardware if improperly done.
