I was having real problems with my sound and video. Lots of clicking, poping, and herky jerky video. I removed all the sound card drivers via the Add/Remove Software box in the Control Panel. Before rebooting, unzip the archive to an empty folder. When you reboot, tell Windows you want to search for the best drivers and uncheck everything except the box which says to search a specific location. Browse to the folder where you unzipped the archive and then proceed. My audio and video now runs sooo.... smooooth. But, of course, your mileage may vary.... I picked up this archive at ftp.spacewalker.com.
