This utility is designed to update HDD firmware for the Allegro 6 drives to resolve an issue with the Perc 3 DC controller. The issue is that the Allegro 6 drives run at a SCSI bus speed of 80 Mbytes/Sec instead of the U160 speed of 160 Mbytes/sec.
