Using Aida32 to identify motherboard on Compaq Presario 5304 as Gigabyte GA-5SMM bios update was downloaded from Gigabyte. Run the program and extract to a bootable floppy disk. Restart computer booting from floppy. Now the 5304 acceptes high capacity hard drives. Worked great for me. A much better BIOS program than the one Compaq offered. Also got rid of Compaq Screen.
