I grabbed this from driverguide.com back in Oct.2003.
What I remember reading is although it is an AMI utility, it works for the Presario or other desktops that have the SIS 530 chipset in them and a crippled Award bios. What it does is unlock the compaq proprietary crippling on the Award bios so you can install a larger Hard drive that it will recognize, update the now unlocked Award bios, get rid of the red COMPAQ logo, etc. I'll look around for what documentation I found with the utility- I'd think it should still be on this site.
