The Motorola 62802-51 is better known as SM56 DATA/FAX (not Data/Fax/Voice as some later models are). So being that, it requires a different driver than the one's that are voice capable. This is the correct Windows 9x/ME driver for the SM56 data/fax only modems.

A quick modem diagnostics check in Control Panel/Modems icon, by running the diagnostics on your modem, then noting line ATI7 will show you which modem you have

If ATI7 says Fax Modem... then your modem is Data/Fax only

If ATI7 says Speakerphone Modem... then your modem is Data/Fax/Voice

This driver is only for the DATA/FAX modem...(older style pci modem)
