The model number listed above came directly off the MB. Another sticker said "REPLACE with compaq spare

254552-002" I got this driver from HP's chat tech support...All I had to do was copy it to a file on the HDD. Then run it..after you run it..reboot the machine..I didn't need any "extra" software like dirx or anything else. Incedently here's more info on the unit.Compaq Presario 5310us
