"RE: Driver for Black Widow 9636 Pro to run in XP. Downloaded OK but wont drive the scanner - asks for a .inf file I cant find. .inf file from original disk isnt recognised. If anyone knows fix then would appreciate help. Orininal manufacturer Devcom went bust."

"No problem downloading and extracting the driver, but I can not get the PC to install the scanner. It asks for a .inf file, and there is none with the driver,"

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
